Pipe condition
Older, damaged, offset, scaled, or root-affected drain lines can require work beyond routine clearing.
Inspection can change the scope
Visible symptoms are useful, but concealed piping, corrosion, previous modifications, inaccessible valves, damaged finishes, water intrusion, code requirements, manufacturer requirements, and related systems can affect what work is appropriate.
